Classic Color-Word Stroop
Name the ink color of color words. The classic Stroop test measuring interference between word reading and color naming.
Reverse Stroop
Read the word, ignoring the ink color. A reverse Stroop task measuring the interference of ink color on word reading.
Emotional Stroop
Name the ink color of emotional and neutral words. Measures attentional bias toward emotionally charged stimuli.
Numerical Stroop
Pick the numerically larger digit when physical size conflicts. Measures interference between numerical magnitude and physical size.
Counting Stroop
Count how many number words appear on screen. Measures interference between reading number words and counting them.
Spatial Stroop
Identify the arrow direction when its position conflicts. Measures spatial interference between stimulus location and direction.
Picture-Word Stroop
Identify the animal shown by the picture when a conflicting word is overlaid. Measures interference between picture and word processing.
Warped Words Stroop
Name the ink color of visually distorted color words. Adds visual noise to the classic Stroop to increase difficulty.
Auditory Stroop
Identify the pitch of a spoken word when the word conflicts. Measures auditory interference between word meaning and vocal pitch.
Animal Stroop
Read the animal name while hearing a different animal sound. Measures cross-modal interference between visual words and auditory animal sounds.
Shape Stroop
Identify the shape when a conflicting shape word is displayed inside it. Measures interference between shape recognition and word reading.
Speed Stroop
Classic Stroop with a shrinking time limit. Tests performance under increasing time pressure as the deadline gets shorter each round.
